  • Provide relevant advertising and marketing based on usage patterns.

You can manage cookie settings through your browser preferences.

Google Workspace Integration

Taizen offers an optional integration with Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, and Drive). This integration is not required to use Taizen — the application is fully functional without connecting a Google account. When you choose to connect your Google account, Taizen requests the following scopes from Google APIs, each tied to a specific in-product feature:

  • Gmail (read-only): so the assistant can read messages that are relevant to a question you ask during a conversation.
  • Gmail (compose): so the assistant can draft or send emails on your behalf when you explicitly ask it to.
  • Calendar (read-only): so the assistant can look up events that are relevant to a question you ask during a conversation.
  • Drive (read-only): so the assistant can search for and open documents you ask about during a conversation.
  • Drive (file): so the assistant can save new files it creates on your behalf into a Taizen-managed folder inside your Drive.

We do not perform background scans of your inbox, calendar, or Drive, and we do not build a permanent index of your Google data. Emails and calendar events are read only in the context of a specific conversation, in direct response to a question or instruction from you. Drive files are downloaded and processed only on demand, when needed to answer a specific question. The single exception is when you explicitly select files through the Google Drive file picker — in that case, only those specific files are indexed in advance so they can be referenced later in your conversations.

Limited Use of Google User Data

Taizen's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In plain terms:

  • We do not sell Google user data, and we do not share it for advertising or marketing purposes.
  • We do not use Google user data to develop, improve, or train generalized artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.
  • We only access the minimum data needed to provide the feature you are actively using.
  • Human access to Google user data is limited to the cases permitted by Google's policy: with your explicit consent, for security investigations, to comply with applicable law, or in aggregated and anonymized form for internal operations.
  • You can revoke Taizen's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account permissions page (https://myaccount.google.com/permissions), or by disconnecting the integration from within Taizen. Once disconnected, your access and refresh tokens are deleted and any cached Google user data is removed in accordance with our data retention policy.

The full Google API Services User Data Policy is available at https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Taizen evolves. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this policy regularly to stay informed about how we protect your information.
